Nowadays, many computer builders in Suriname sell their computers with cracked version of Windows. Windows 7 has made it easy for end users to verify that their version of Windows 7 is genuine.
To check if your copy of Windows 7 is Genuine open Windows 7 Control Panel and go to System and Security and then click on System. If at the bottom:
- “Windows is activated”
- and you have the Windows genuine logo
Then your copy of Windows 7 is Genuine.
A similar method is to type ‘activate windows’ into the search box in Windows 7 and click on ‘Activate Windows’. The following popup will appear which will tell you if you copy of Windows 7 is genuine:
